Officer of the Day, Lead

Office of the Day, Lead

Position Summary:

Coordinate daily campus activities and movement of staff; and manage campus safety and security.
In addition to performing duties of the position, Lead Individual provides supervision to assigned program staff including but not limited to: hiring, training, weekly supervision and performance documentation to ensure continuity of care and accountability of services.

Essential Duties:

  • Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
  • Demonstrate effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR
  • Must be able to quickly and effectively respond to crisis situations.
  • Maintain vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care.
  • Ensure campus-wide safety, security, and disaster preparedness.
  • Regularly coordinate transportation youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc
  • Coordinates the movement of staff to ensure staff ratio in the cottages and across the campuses.
  • Prepare timely and accurate documentation.
  • Understand and retain instructions for complex tasks.
  • Sets clear, measurable and specific goals for assigned staff and meets weekly for review.
  • Provides specific performance feedback to staff, both positive and corrective, as soon as possible after event or action
  • Oversees written evaluations, submitted evaluations and any rate change submissions for approval. Presents evaluation to staff.
  • Maintains a professional environment that is consistent with existing contracts, licensing regulations, and established agency policies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a relevant field strongly preferred (will be compensated at a higher rate). Individuals without a related degree must meet alternative minimum qualifications established by Contractual agency.
  • Experience working with youth strongly preferred

Salary Range : $47,028.80 - $51,731.68
The posted pay scale for this position serves as a general disclosure. Actual pay offered within the range will be dependent on individual factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
